Week in Review::March 9-13

Each week around here is pretty much looking the same.

Monday:

We host a Geometry class of 4 high schoolers- not taught by me. I only host. We have 2 students in a general math class immediately following the geometry class. My sister is here with her kids so we take turns watching little ones and working on school with those who are not in geometry or math at the time.

This Monday was special because it was my birthday- there is not a picture to be had! It was pretty much business as usual except that Frank took the day off of work. We began the day by going to mass and out to breakfast (lovely!), and we did a little shopping to refresh our kitchen ware (some of our old stuff is from our wedding over 30 years ago!). The above mentioned activities proceeded as usual, but we ended the day at a very nice restaurant that we had never eaten at before- they had crab cakes to die for.

Tuesday:

Tuesday morning was Theater Fun Class for James and his cousins. I just discovered that there is wifi at the theater so I can do some school planning while helping to supervise the kids. I feel much more productive to be multitasking. The afternoon was spent driving Paul to volleyball practice where I wait and wait and wait...

In case you don't know, there are three things that drive me crazy- being late, waiting, and driving/being in the car all the time. Yet, that is my life these days. Not so much being late- but going crazy to leave in time so that we are not late.

Wednesday:

James has his music lesson each Wednesday morning. We attended noon mass (our mostly usual Weds thing to do) with our homeschool group and Paul played volleyball with that same group.

The other boys and I left Paul to go pick up some cousins and friends to meet up for a fun birthday party for a cousin (I was only drop off).

Frank took on evening volleyball duty by going to Paul's game while I took a mom's night out. It was actually a planning meeting with two other ladies, but it was very nice to eat out and chat.

Thursday:

Thursdays are our usual day to watch my one-year-old grandson, so he arrives first thing in the morning.

Mark, in unusual form,  was up at the crack of dawn to work out with a friend at a gym. He is hoping to play football in the fall, so is trying to get a start on things.

We also a doctor appointment this morning as well.

I spent the afternoon getting to be the "parent helper" in my granddaugher's preschool class. Now that was fun. It was super cute to see her in her little environment working on crafts, painting, and playing with the other kids.

The evening was spent... driving and waiting at various events.

Friday:

We had our usual Friday morning co op with our friends- Spanish, art, and science are covered.

Frank and I split duties in the evening- he took some of Paul's friends to Paul's volleyball game and then out to eat. I took Mark and some of his friends to see a play that some of their friends were performing in. I'm telling you- we are getting too old for this!

Throw in a few doctor appoints and various other errands and duties and that is pretty much life right now.

Seeing as I have no pictures this week, I will throw these in from Saturday- grandpa and uncles did double duty this afternoon by assembling a bunk bed as well as watching three little ones while their mom went to a baby shower. Call me impressed.
