Easy Reader Organizers
For those who know that I have been trying to purge, this may seem inconsistent with that goal. Let me explain! First, they are from the dollar store. Very little investment here. Second, they are useful. Third, when I am done with these, I will give them to Goodwill with a completely clear conscience. And last, having these books sit so boldly on the shelf means that they will actually get read! My 7yo grabbed one already today (Gross Out- all about animals that do really disgusting things) and brought it to me to read with him.
My plan is to put my address label on the binding of all of these books, and to encourage the children from the co op class I have at my house once a week during the school year to borrow them. Early readers have a limited interest age wise, so I would love to see these get used!
A fun note- some (quite a few) of these books were purchased for my now adult children when they were little! I can't believe I saved them all this time, but I am glad I did. :)

I love this idea! If they can seem them then they read them!!
ReplyDeleteYour post encourage me to keep the children books of my daughter. I know I am right to keep them (although they take up so much space) There are so many moments we refer to these first books. 'Remember that story of that caterpillar?', 'Remember that mole?', all these lovely children books are engraved in our memory because we read them a hundred times together.
ReplyDeleteMaybe even later again and again with grandchildren?
i love this idea!!!!!!
