Week in Review::Jan. 31-Feb.4

Around the House:
We are still organizing. I may be writing that for a quite a few weeks. Today is book organizing day- boy, oh boy, do we have a lot of books!

In the Kitchen:
The boys are still working on helping in the kitchen. I love it! Great math lessons too.

In the School Room:
Still sticking to the basics. I really want to get passed that, but it seems like that's what we are able to fit in right now. Although, the boys have requested to learn about the Revolutionary War like their cousins (who also homeschool)- their words: "they know everything about the war- all the battles and people- we should know that too". True enough. ;) We'll get on it. I had hoped to post some Five in a Row stuff, but we are just getting started on our book today.

PE:
We have, unlike most of the country, had great weather, so the boys have been playing outside a lot. The main focus/obsession (are all boys this passionate when they have an interest?) is basketball. Big brother has been coaching James (7yo), so that he can improve for his Saturday game.

Out of the House:
The older boys continue with Lego Robotics and are loving it!

In case you can't tell, this is an example of one of "those weeks"- you know the kind that the whole week passed by and you can't really figure out what happened!? That is okay. I know from experience that next week will be better.

I hope everyone had a productive week!!

I am going to link to what I hope won't be Jen's last Weekly Wrap-Up linky at Forever, For Always, No Matter What (although I understand if it is ;)).

Comments

  1. Glad to hear about the kitchen and cooking with the boys! I am so loving that stage.

    I am envious of your weather. We were so spoiled last week...I knew the other shoe had to drop...but that hard?!

    Lori, thank you for all of your kind words, prayers and thoughts. I am so grateful for all of them!

    Have a good weekend:)

  2. Thanks for linking up this week! Have fun organizing your books, you will have to do a post on it. I am amazed at how much my boys enjoy helping in the kitchen. Looking forward to your FIAR posts! Have you done any Beyond Five in a Row? Have a great weekend.
