Wrap Up::April 26
Monday and Tuesday were "sick days". Paul was off at work with dad, and Mark and James were fighting a cold. It was strangely quiet around here for those two days. Wednesday was dentist, tutoring a young man with math who comes over about once a week, and off to volleyball for Paul (the only well one).
Finally, I deemed everyone "all better!"and we got down to business- straighten up the house and got some basic school done!
On Thursday, the day I decided that everyone was well, we had our first all day at home with all of us in a long time. Boy could we use more of these! A game of Dogopoly was set up as an ongoing activity. They have made up all kinds of their own rules and it has turned out to be quite a ruthless game! :)
When they were not playing Dogopoly during their spare time, the boys were having nerf wars! Just to note- our dog is RARELY on a leash, but the bunny was out and he tends to try to snack on her. Not safe for him or the bunny. ;)
Thursdays are also soccer practice. One of the great opportunities that has come up this spring is for Paul to help coach his brother's U11 soccer team. Paul and James' uncle also happens to be the head coach. It's hard for me to tell how Paul's doing, but I know he takes the job seriously and his uncle seems to appreciate the help.
And, today!! Today is Paul's 15th birthday! Frank (dad) surprised us by taking the morning off. He came to a mass and adoration with us. He also made a "beast breakfast" (in my boys words) for us all followed by... a game of Dogopoly. And, yes, more nerf wars. :)
Now we are off to park day for a "make up" on our Easter Egg hunt that was canceled a few weeks weeks ago. So glad for nice weather!!
Adding these on:
We were called in on an emergency babysitting job this afternoon. That meant that this little guy joined us at a meeting Paul had this afternoon with a high school homeschool co op.
He really loves his Uncle Paul!
After the meeting, we had dinner out for Paul's birthday. I swiped this picture from his sister's (Erin) instagram feed. ;)

We have been loving both Monopoly and the outside this week, too!
ReplyDeleteAlways such sweet weeks with all your boys!
