Week In Review
Some weeks are a blur. A blur does not even begin to describe this week. Happily, it was a fun blur.
Monday- Fun water park. I have to confess to being a bit of a snob about these things. I usually view these big attractions as money sucking wastes of time. (sounds a bit harsh- huh?) One of my adult daughters gifted each of her youngest 4 siblings a season pass to a local water park as their birthday gifts. My first thought was... "ugh". It made me worry about their safety, all the other crazy people there, and the commercialism of it all. Well, I have officially been proven wrong. Not only was the park clean and very well supervised, it was really, really fun. (camera upload still not working- pictures to come!)
Tuesday- Exhausted old mom tries to recover from said day at the really fun water park. Also, some household chores and a little bit of actual school was done.
Wednesday- A visit to the planetarium. We are so blessed to have a wonderful planetarium near us as well as a gentleman (who has been there as long as I can remember- 15+ years) who really loves his topic and loves to share it. He has a fun "hippyish" quality about it him, and he brings an enthusiasm to his shows that just can't be matched. This was a basic "planet" and "what you will see in the sky tonight" show. The kids loved it!
Thursday- Spanish co op. One more week until we can say "check"-done.
Friday- Park day- all day! It was nephew's birthday, so a few homeschool families got together and took over the park. Rip sticks, scooters, basketballs, footballs, bubbles... and more were played with while the moms watched the kids play and visited. Plus, his mom (my sister), made the yummiest cake ever!
I am writing this rather sparse post because I made the commitment that I will write a "week in review" every week. Things that don't get documented did not happen. ;)
