Staycation::Day At The Museum

This was a 12 hour day- and it was FULL!

Stop 1:

Of course! What would a visit to a Natural History Museum be without a requisite dinosaur! This one did not play fetch though- or maybe it does after dark!

Our anatomy lesson for the day.

Fruit bat.

I have to say that all the specimens in a jar and stuff kind of weird me out. I was ready to not give this area much attention, but Mark and James settled in and enjoyed themselves.  What was I to do but join the fun?

 Walrus- I think. The boys would know.

Animal identification through prints and scat.

Cross section of a crab.

Some of those jars I was talking about.

You never know what might be hanging out in the trees.

Part one of many!

  1. Well, part one looks like a day my kids would have loved. Had to chuckle at Mark's pose under the dinosaur bones. That boy cracks me up. Great cross section of the crab, btw!
