Chicken Noodle Soup- Mmm, Mmm Good!
I have wanted to join Making it Count (formerly Pinning it Down) again to share some of my favorite internet finds, but life has been crazy lately. This soup has made an appearance in a weekly wrap-up, but I am featuring this most recent batch just so I can participate!
All said and done, this recipe makes enough for my family to have dinner, to give a meal to each of the my three daughters' families (their kiddos are pretty little still), and to have leftovers once or twice- depending on how many are at home eating.
I asked my son-in-law if he was interested in a batch again this time- without hesitation he replied, via text message, "yes, please!".
Pretty much this is just chicken, carrots, celery, onion, parsley, and celery salt. In addition to the original recipe, we added some ginger on the recommendation of our favorite produce grocer, and put in some boxed broth (no MSG) to make the taste a bit stronger.
Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, Pam and Sarah are co-hosting the Making it Count Tuesday link-up. Start with any one of those fabulous ideas you've found online. Then, do it. Make it. Cook it. Create it. Take it from the screen, give it life and let it bless your world. When you're done, snap a photo, write about it and share it with us.

Hi, I got your link from the Making It Count post. (I did the mom/daughter journal.) This soup looks so delicious! I always loved my mom's chicken soup. I don't know why I don't make it more often. I think I'll give this recipe a try next week. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy recommendation! Why have I not thought of soup for the summer? I always hate using the oven to heat up the house when it's so hot so this would help that problem! I'm headed over to your recommended blog next. Hope you are enjoying the rest of your summer...going way too fast!
ReplyDeletelooks delicious. I can smell it all the way over here!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something my hubby would love. :) Thanks for linking up!
