Randomness
Have.No.Brainpower. So no wrap-up or homeschool mother's journal. Just a few random thoughts.
Went shopping in my garage. Sort like a walk down memory lane. Pulling these out to use with the boys next year.
Just love this edition. I got it used when my now adult girls were little for just a few cents. It actually cost less when it was new.
Stumbled across this that I don't think I actually did with my girls, but it looks like a great resource.
And just how many books do you need on George Washington? Nine should do.
Movie night. (I did say this was going to be a random post) My husband purchased this screen and projector years ago for my now adult daughters to have outdoor movie nights with their friends. By today's standards, the quality is not very good, but Erin and her friends would still rather watch the movie outside.
If a picture is taken on my camera, it is fair game to post- right?
I was surprised to see that the boys (Mark and James) pulled out their Lincoln Logs the other day. This set up has gotten quite elaborate (it has grown since this was taken). The cars and other guys laying around are not just strewn toys. They are part of a scene that includes battles and such in every area of the fort. Fun stuff.
Had lunch at a local pizza parlor with friends.
Well, I'll end on that note except for my grandma share. ;)
I wanted to include all four grandchildren, but found that my 2yo grandson is only seen in pictures as a blur running the other direction! I'll have to work on that.

Night time is for frog hunting! Aren't they cute? Actually, these toads were rescued. I think I have mentioned our drain spout that they get caught in and drown. The boys routinely check it and relocate the finds to safer areas of the yard.

Great post! I love it all. What really makes me happy (especially these days) is to see a group of young adults sitting around talking, having fun, watching a movie, etc. Tangible hope for our future!
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! What cutie pie grandkids you have:) My husband bought a similar old projector and screen, how funny! He set ours up in the garage...All of the neighbor kids flock when we have movie nights! (Much younger than yours but still fun). I agree with Patty, so nice to see your young people having a wholesome good time:)
