Precious Moments

At a time when each and every special occasion, and not so special occasion, seems to be documented with a photo, I regret not taking one of our every day, yet very special, occasion tonight.

I don't know how it happened, but the stars and moon all lined up to make a rare moment with two of our adult daughters. We (hubby and I) called our daughter, Michelle, at the very last minute to see if she and her husband could join us to go out to dinner. Michelle happily agreed to come as her husband was actually out for the evening. Not minutes later, as we headed out the door, Erin called from school to ask what we were doing for dinner.

That's when it all came together. Frank (AKA hubby), me, Michelle, and Erin all went to dinner together. Just the four of us. In the absence of a picture, I am blogging the moment. So thankful to have had the evening to chat with and enjoy the time with of both of them.

And the boys had a great time at home having frozen waffles for dinner, watching Netflix on my iPad, and eating ice cream.

Win-Win! :)

Not from tonight, but these are the girlies I'm talkin' about.

Michelle (the married lady) and Erin (18yo)

Just to give a well-rounded perspective on these two! :)

And, in case Michelle sees this- yes, I did swipe these pics from your FB! Love you!

  1. I'm so excited for you to have had this time. I know how you feel...kind of from the mom's stand point, especially from the daughter stand point. I just made airline reservations to fly myself and baby home to see my mom. Within hours, I heard that two other siblings will be heading "home" which means my mom will have all 9 of her "babies" home for Labor Day weekend. The first time in almost 4 years! We are all so excited :)
