Things Remembered::August 24, 2012
Things I want to remember about this week:
#1- NEVER, ever, ever sign kids up for public speaking class again. Okay, maybe not never, but never a nine-year-old!!
#2- That it was actually not that bad. ;) A young man we know, a sophomore in college and a good friend of our family, offers this class during his summer break. The kids love him and he does a fantastic job. Plus, it was a good experience for the boys.
Previous post on class. :)
***Just in case someone who reads this knows the awesome Anthony (teacher of said class), know that my frustrations are in no way a reflection on him!!

#3- This smiling little face (playing with Auntie Erin). Even though my boys had speech class almost every day this week and last, we seized the opportunity to zip over to the beach to celebrate my 2nd daughter's birthday with her little family. We had a lovely late lunch/early dinner and then played on the beach for a few hours.
#4- "The Bubble Book" by Mercer Mayer read to Little Man Cub by his mommy. Little Man Cub LOVES this book and did not want to return it to the library. When mom couldn't find it in the store, we discovered that it is out of print. What is a grandma to do but order a used copy! He happily read it with his mom at least two times before running off to play.
#5- Dinner out in honor of Erin's last day of class at her salon school.
#6- These yummy brownies that Shauna made when I asked her very last minute if she could bake a dessert in honor of Erin's last day. They are soooo delicious.
#7- S'more (our rabbit) meeting S'more (our granddaughter's stuffed bunny). She said that they are cousins!
#8- How did I not get a picture? On the same evening as the bunny meet up, grandpa (my dear hubby) played and played with 1 yo "Little Brother" on the lawn. Man can that kid make tracks. But grandpa crawled after him wrestling with him and tossing him around. They finally headed for the swings where the play could at least stay in one place for a while. From there it was in the house for a binky, blanket, and cuddle on the couch!
(I found one picture!!)
#9- This blog post by my daughter, Shauna. They do grow up so fast!!
