10 Surprising Things...

I was "tagged"! Jen tagged me in this lovely meme---the topic is 10 Surprising Things... about me. Uhmmm. I have to say, there is not much surprising about me, but I'll try. :)

10. I was married at 17 years old.

 9.  I met my husband driving home from the beach (from the back of my dad's station wagon) over a labor day weekend.

 8.  In a previous life (for about 2 minutes) I was a medical assistant. My favorite task was drawing blood- weird but true.

 7. I once ran down the highway to chase an elderly lady who was about to drive on the wrong side of the road around a mountain bend. (scary- a car spun out next to me, but all ended well)

 6. I am a grandma- this still surprises me!!

 5. Pets drive me crazy- and we have 2 dogs, 1 fish, 1 snail, and 1 bunny! (right now) Ugh!!

 4. I am starting to love gadgets- fun stuff like Ipods and Kindles. If you knew me IRL, you'd be surprised.

 3. I have sold Tupperware, Creative Memories, and Usborne Books from home. I still have a pretty big stash of CM stuff and lots of Usborne books. :)

 2. My wonderful hubby cooks at least half of all the meals served in our house- truth be told maybe most of the meals- and he grocery shops.

 1. After 30 years of marriage, I love, love, love, my hubby more than ever. (surprising to me because I did not believe in such things many years ago ;))

Somehow my numbers got mixed up (now corrected) and I posted two extras, so I wrote 12- I guess I am more surprising than I thought!  :)

I think teenagers are wonderful, interesting people. I am always puzzled when I hear parents talk about them like they are from some alien race.

I would love to travel, but I am absolutely, positively terrified to fly- tried it once and don't plan to do it ever. again. Except that I want to see Rome...

  2. Hey Jen, I posted in a crazy hurry this morning and mixed up the numbers, so my #3 is now #1. Just did not want you to think you are the one losing your mind. It was all me. :)
