Our Week::October 17-21

What's working for us this week:
Filling the workboxes. We were slow getting them going this year, but the system is up and running. My boys function better when they can see their all of their school for the day. Being done can't be some mysterious concept to them. Knowing the expectation for the day makes a big difference. Participating in "Workbox Wednesday" link-up has been on my "to do" list for a while- I will try to follow up on this with a post.

What we are enjoying:
Some time with friends and cousins. When my sister asked us to go to lunch, my  first reaction was that we just had too much to do, but I reconsidered and am so glad I did.

What we are learning about:
Korea- We are still enjoying Galloping the Globe. We're moving through it slowly, but we are moving.

Out of the house:
Homeschool Days at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Isn't that fish amazing! So fun! (you'll be hearin' all about it later ;))

Just for fun (and cause grandmas like to show pictures of their grand-kids ;))-
darling grandson with Uncle James. So sweet.

  1. Taking time to be with cousins is one of the things I love about homeschooling! You are so lucky to be so close to such an awesome aquarium :)

  2. So many times I feel like I just can't take off any more time...and then we do...and we never regret it. I need to relax more with routine and try to get those "fun" days in more often. Glad you did it, and with family, too!

  4. Good for you, letting go and getting out! I often have that same challenge and yes, always glad when we just do it:) Yes, we are surely bound to cross paths some day...We are headed to the free aquarium day in a couple weeks ourselves. Love it! Have a blessed week's end:)
