Sweet!
Joanna from Miss Marple's Musings (a great place for book lovers to visit)
tagged me for this very "sweet" award! I am honored! Thank you.
The rules for accepting the award are …
1. Thank and link to the person who nominated you.
2. Share 7 random facts about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 15 deserving blog buddies.
4. Contact those buddies to congratulate them.
Random Facts About Me:
1. I love where I live. This came to mind as Joanna (who delivered this award to me) mentioned traveling. I used to spend a bit of time wishing we could travel the world (or at least the USA). I finally realized that people come here from all over the world to enjoy the sights and scenery. I have made it my mission to see as much of our little world as we can. I still have a little travel envy left in me, but I am thankful to live where I do.
2. I need time alone! I consider this random as I have 7 children (plus son-in-laws and grandchildren), and on any given day have as many as 10 people at my house for dinner. I don't mean ditch my family, run away from home time alone- I just need to go in my room and close the door from time to time.
3. I live with 7 animals. NO- not my kids. ;) Animals- 1 fish, 1 rabbit, 2 dogs, and 3 tortoises. Random because noise, confusion, and smelly things drive me crazy... but I love my kids, so animals it is.
4. I am terrified of heights. Hubby coerced me to take one of those air bucket rides across the Boardwalk once... let's just say it was not a happy moment.
5. I picked blueberries. When I was a child (10-12 yrs. old), I picked blueberries for a few weeks during each summer to earn money. Have not eaten them since, but a very sweet blogger posted a picture of a pie she made that might encourage me to try them.
6. I met my dear hubby in a traffic jam. I have mentioned this before, but it is one of the most random facts I can come up with. Seriously- Labor Day weekend from the back (remember rear facing seats?) of my dad's station wagon stuck for what seemed like hours with this cute boy driving the car behind me... and here we are 30 years later!
7. I want to do daring things. But I am a chicken.
