Helpful Homeschool Hint::Looking Back
I am sort of cheating in that this is actually an excerpt from a previous post that was in answer to some questions I received.
Looking back at homeschooling my now adult children, I will tell you that I don't regret one single workbook page that we did not get to- my only regret is the time I spent stressing that I wasn't doing enough (or well enough). I wish I had woken up each morning with less expectation and just enjoyed that time with my children.
I still lose sight of this, but I am working on listening to my own advice!
I am belatedly linking this post up to Helpful Homeschool Hints at Many Little Blessings.

This is great advice, I always worry that I'm not doing enough and I will ruin my kids forever!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Busy Hands. It seems we have a lot in common! I also have 7 children and have been homeschooling FOREVER. My oldest daughter is married and has three littles of her own. Everyone else is still at home. We have a 22 yod who teaches violin, piano and tutors another family's children one day a week. n Then we have an 18 yos who is finishing up his more formal education and working part time, a 14 yos, 11yod, 6yos and 2 yos. By the time we finish up our homeschool journey I will be 62 or 63 and will have been homeschooling for 39 years! Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement! I definitely need to hear this.
